Camano trawlers from our own listings first, then the wider market.
The Camano 31 was designed by Vancouver naval architect Bob Warman, and Camano Marine of Delta, British Columbia, introduced it in 1990 as the Camano 28; the same boat was later sold as the Camano 31. Warman built more than 125 before selling the company in the late 1990s. The tooling then passed through several owners, and about 270 boats had been built when Seattle-based Helmsman Trawlers bought it in 2014.
The boat rides a semi-displacement hull with a full-length keel, lifting strakes and soft chines, and it has no exterior wood to varnish. It is economical at trawler speeds and can cruise around 12 knots, with a top end near 16 knots on average. Helmsman launched a redesigned version in 2015, and its current Helmsman 31x keeps the Camano hull form.
